CSK bowler Deepak Chahar likely to miss T20 World Cup: Reports
Home > News Shots > Sports newsIt has been reported that Deepak Chahar will not be able to play in the T20 World Cup series following the IPL series.
The 15th season of the IPL series is going on in full swing in India. The Chennai Super Kings have now recovered from four consecutive defeats. CSK won the recent match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. With this, Chennai team has started its first winning account in the current IPL series.
The absence of fast bowler Deepak Chahar was seen as the main reason for Chennai's series defeats. Deepak, who is recovering from an injury, was expected to join the CSK squad later this month. He also started a webinar for this.
It was reported that he was unable to bowl properly due to a sudden back problem in this situation. Playing in the IPL series has become a question mark as this injury would take a few more months to heal. This is seen as a major setback for the CSK team.
According to BCCI sources, Deepak Chahar has been suffering from back pain for at least 4 months. Meanwhile, the T20 World Cup series is scheduled to take place in Australia in October. However, the cricketer has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury.
