IPL 2020 Auction: Bidding War Between CSK and MI Explained
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAfter the end of Round 2 IPL 2020 auction, the CSK fans were pretty disappointed as CSK bought Piyush Chawla for a whopping price of 6.5 crores. However, a logical reason behind getting Piyush Chawla was given by CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan.
Vishwanathan said that "Our Leader (MS Dhoni) knows how to use him. We feel it is good though we already have2 spinners. Having an extra legspinner adds advantage and MSD knows how to handle 2 leg spinners".
Kasi also hinted that it was Dhoni's decision to look for Piyush Chawla. On the other side, a bidding war happened between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians for Australian fast bowler Nathan Coulter Nile. Kasi said that CSK tried hard to him but could not do it. Nathan Coulter Nile was picked by Mumbai Indians for 8 Crore rupees.
