Team India’s ‘New Coach’ to be announced on THIS Date!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsOn August 13 (Yesterday), we reported the six shortlisted candidates by the Kapil Dev Led, Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). According to the report by Hindustan Times, the finalized head coach of Indian Cricket Team would be announced on August 16 (Friday), the day after India’s Independence Day. Amidst various speculations on Team India’s World Cup loss, over 2000 applications were received by the BCCI for Head Coach and other positions including batting coach, fielding coach and bowling coach.
The six shortlisted candidates are Ravi Shastri, former Srilanka Coach and Australia all-rounder, Tom Moody, former New Zealand coach Milke Hesson, former Afghanistan coach and West Indies all-rounder Phil Simmons, former India fielding coach Robin Singh and former India team manager Lalchand Rajput
Meanwhile, India is set to play the 3rd ODI match against West Indies today at 7.PM IST. Sources ride high on the reports that Ravi Shastri might be the contender for the post since Virat Kohli’s suggestions are likely to be heard. However, under Ravi Shastri’s term, India has not won any major trophies while the other two Indian counterparts, Lalchand Rajput and Robin singh had been a part of Team India that lifted the 2007 T20 World Cup.
