Sourav Ganguly Decides on Dividing Captaincy Between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsNewly elected president Sourav Ganguly, on Wednesday, cleared the air on dual captaincy talks by saying that Virat Kohli and Co. are currently the best team in the world and so, there is no need to bring in a change.
“I don’t think this question arises. India is winning at the moment. They are probably the best team in the world,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by HT.
About the World Cup loss this year, Ganguly said a team doesn't win a World Cup every year. “Yes you can say that they have not won a World Cup but you don’t win a World Cup every time. Hopefully, we will support him, whatever he wants and we will make sure Indian cricket goes ahead smoothly."
After team India was knocked out of the World Cup race at semi-finals by New Zealand, there were speculations that Rohit Sharma will be made the white-ball captain.
