Bangladesh captain and all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is soon to be in big trouble as he will be issued a showcause notice by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). This notice is issued to him as he had violated the terms and conditions of the board.

As per Cricbuzz report, on October 22, Shakib collaborated with Grameenphone, which is a local telecom giants as their brand ambassador. But according to the BCB’s agreement, a cricketer under national contract cannot join a telecom company.

This deal took place, hours after Bangladesh cricketers called for a strike. They had put forward 11 demands to the board, which eventually came to an end on October 23.

Meanwhile, BCB President Nazmul Hasan while speaking to a Bengali daily said that they will take strict action if the cricketer is unable to provide a satisfactory reply.

Looking back at the week, Shakib had missed out Friday’s practice session as the team is preparing for the upcoming bilateral series with India. To which, Head coach Russell Domingo, asserted that the cricketer was unwell and failed to show up in the training session.
