First Offense of the season for R Ashwin !!!

The Kings XI Punjab lost the game against the Delhi Capitals at Delhi. The Kings XI Punjab batting first put up a score of 163 that the Delhi Capitals chased, thanks to the efforts of Shikhar Dhawan and Captain Shreyas Iyer as both of them posted half centuries.

R Ashwin, captain of the Kings XI Punjab maintained a slow over-rate during their bowling innings and since it was the first such offense of the season, he was fined Rs 12 Lakh.

Prior to Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and Virat Kohli were the three other captains who were fined for the same reason. As many players have been saying, these fines are probably not working as we continue to see such incidents and hence there should be alternative options to solve this problem.
