"Can’t keep depending on MS Dhoni to be the finisher": Anil Kumble

Former India Captain MS Dhoni faced many criticisms following the recent Asia Cup held at Dubai. Questions regarding his position and role in the team rose.

However, former captain and coach Anil Kumble dismissed the criticisms and supported MS Dhoni. Kumble reportedly told SportStar, "The Indian middle-order still does not have a settled look and the team can’t keep depending on Mahendra Singh Dhoni to be the finisher. He should be left to enjoy the game and engage with younger players to finish games."

MSD hardly put up a show at the Asia Cup and only managed to score 77 runs in the four innings including a duck in the opening match against Hong Kong.
