Kolkata Knight Riders and head coach Jacques Kallis parted ways after nine years of working together. KKR also parted ways with assistant coach Simon Katich.

On Sunday, the franchise announced as a part of changes to the coaching set up. However, no replacement has been named.

"Jacques Kallis has been an integral part of the KKR family and will always remain so ... We will be exploring ways of working with Jacques as we pursue our vision of establishing the Knight Riders brand as a global brand," said  KKR's CEO Venky Mysore.

Kallis was a player from 2011 and then in 2015, he became the head coach. Under them, KKR won 32 of 61 games and qualified for 3 consecutive playoffs. But they occupied the 5th place in 2019 IPL.

"After nine fantastic years with KKR since 2011, as a player, mentor and Head Coach, it's time to explore new opportunities ... I would to like to thank the owners, management and fellow players for many happy memories," said Kallis.
