After R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane to Leave Rajasthan Royals in Big Trade!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsIndia Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has been traded from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals for Rs. 4 crores and as we know, Royals would be getting two players from Delhi Capitals in return.
The trade will be completed by today before the transfer window closes. Delhi Capitals have been negotiating with Rajasthan Royals for a few months now to acquire Rahane and add solidity to their batting line-up. It is to be noted that Sourav Ganguly was still an advisor with Delhi Capitals when the negotiations began.
Rahane will be joining the well-built Delhi franchise which has Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw in the top-order and Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Hanuma Vihari in the middle-order.
Rahane had been playing for Rajasthan Royals since 2011 and he led the side in 2018 before Steve Smith was handed the job after eight games into the season. Rahane has a record 3, 820 IPL runs to his name at a strike rate of 122
