Ever since India-Pakistan match took place on June 16, the captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been brutally trolled by Pakistani fans and criticised by former Pakistani cricketers for his poor fitness performance.

Fans trolled him endlessly with vitriolic comments, with some going as far as fat-shaming him and calling him a ‘fat-pig’. Others accused his team of remaining stubbornly unfit and maintaining an unhealthy lifestyle filled with ‘pizzas and burgers’ and ‘no dangal’.

After weeks of torture on social media, Sarfaraz shut everyone's mouth on Sunday, as he and his boys sent the South African team hurtling out of the World Cup and once again became the true Comeback Kid of cricket. Soon after the match, Ahmed was also seen giving autographs and clicking pictures. It just did not end there, Sarfaraz  has also been receiving much love and respect after his running video went viral on social media.

According to News18 report, a video of Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed running at Lord’s Cricket Ground is going viral after the team's motivating victory over South Africa in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. In this video, the Pakistani wicket-keeper-batsman is seen running laps near the boundary line of the stadium alone.

The video brought applauds for the 32-year-old cricketer from fans for his sheer dedication towards the game. Fans were also quick to turn over a new leaf and extol sincere apologies to him for their brutish treatment, reports News18. A picture of a fan, who brought the banner of "Sarfaraz We Are Sorry", to the Pakistan vs South Africa match is also doing rounds on social media.
