OMG !!! Afridi's real age is different from official records !!!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsShahid Afridi, former Pakistan cricketer recently wrote an autobiography titled 'Game Changer'. Afridi has mentioned that he was born in 1975 and not 1980 as mentioned in official records according to the reports from ESPN Cricinfo.
Which means that as Afridi says " I was just nineteen, and not sixteen like they claim. I was born in 1975. So, yes, the authorities stated my age incorrectly,” talking about the 37 ball century that he scored against SriLanka.
This is not the first time such an incident is happening. After the 2009 T20 Worldcup, Younis Khan announced retirement saying he was 34 and that he was too old for t20 cricket. But the official records at that time stated that he was just 31.
