Apple Insider confirms new 2020 iPhone SE launch details
Home > News Shots > Lifestyle newsApple’s upcoming iPhone has been the point of discussion for months now, in the smartphone industry. After various rumours were brewed on social media platforms, the release date has now been confirmed by an insider.
Initially, the launch of the new 2020 iPhone SE was expected to commence sometime around Apple’s March festival. Unfortunately, the smartphone wasn’t launched then and it was rumoured to be launched in the first week of April. After this series of unfortunate proceedings, Jon Prosser (a well-connected Apple insider), has doubled down on April 15 as the launch date. Further, the shipment is said to begin from April 22, according to him.
Keeping the timing of this launch in mind, Prosser said, “[Apple] is not naive, they know they are not going to sell as many… it’s not perfect circumstances.” The launch has been scheduled during a worldwide pandemic and Prosser pointed out that Apple is looking to distance the launch of the iPhone SE (also referred to as the iPhone 9 and iPhone SE2) and the iPhone 12.
Interestingly the case for the new iPhone SE and AppleCare+ Insurance were momentarily listed on Apple’s official website last week. Its features, price, and other details are rumoured and leaked on the internet but they can only be confirmed on the day of its launch.
