1 Man Saved 669 Children; Story Revealed 50 Years Later

Nicholas not just saved the children from the Holocaust in Czechoslovakia but transported them to Britain and helped them find new families.
The noble act of Nicholas was revealed after 50 years through his wife Grete. One day Grete happened to take a look at one notebook of Nicholas that contained the names and photographs of Children saved by him.
Grete took the notebook to a BBC television program for the world to know about the greatness of Nicholas. Sir Nicholas was also invited for the program.
During the show, the program presenter calls out the name Vira Diamont aka Vira Gissing who sits next to Nicholas. Vira becomes emotional and hugs him for his invaluable act.
After the moment, the presenter asks, 'Is there anyone in the audience tonight who owes their lives to Nicholas Winton?'. The entire section of the audience stands up, thus making Nicholas and everybody witnessing the incident emotional. He died at the age of 106 on 1 July 2015
The text in the video says that Sir Sir Nicholas Winton has saved 669 human lives from Holocaust. The video of the show went viral on 'Holocaust Memorial' Day which was shared by Bear Grylls on Twitter.
