Woman clicks on link to update PAN card, loses money in Mumbai!

The incident in which a woman was robbed of money by texting her cell phone to renew her ban card has come as a shock.

A 34-year-old woman is working as an accountant in a private company in Mumbai. On May 9, a message came to his cell phone. It has a link with a link to update your ban card details.

The woman who believed this to be true clicked on the link. Then the fake web page of the private bank was opened. In it he asks to record his user ID and password, and immediately registers it. He then recorded a one-time password (OTP) on his cell phone.

Following this, Rs 1.80 lakh was taken from his bank account. A message has been received from his bank on his cell phone. Shocked, the woman contacted the bank and blocked her bank account.

Following this, the woman has lodged a complaint at the police station. It is noteworthy that banks and the police are advising users not to disclose their bank account details by relying on fake messages coming in the name of the bank.
