Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by the Central Narcotics Division in October last year for allegedly using drugs on a luxury ship bound for Goa from Mumbai. A total of 20 people were arrested in the case. Aryan Khan was jailed for 4 weeks. The case was initially investigated by the Mumbai Narcotics Division.
The officer who investigated the case, Sameer Wankhede, was then charged. Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has accused Sameer Wankhede of trying to extort money from Shah Rukh Khan. Following this, Sameer Wankhede was released from the trial. Following this, a special inquiry team from Delhi came to investigate the case.
The Central Narcotics Control Board has filed a 6,000-page chargesheet in the Mumbai Special Court. It is said that the names of 5 people including Aryan Khan were not included in it. The indictment also alleges that there was insufficient evidence against Aryan Khan and that he had no drugs.
