Worried Woman Claims Her COVID-19 Positive Husband Missing, Hospital Tells A Different Story!
Home > News Shots > India newsIn a shocking turn of events, a woman was left shattered after she was informed that her COVID-19 positive husband passed away and was cremated. The woman has been identified as Alampally Madhavi from Hyderabad's Vanasthalipuram colony.
The woman was discharged along with her two daughters from Gandhi Hospital on May 16 after undergoing treatment for Covid-19. She claimed that her 42-year old husband, who was also a Covid-19 patient was admitted in the same hospital and went missing.
When she enquired about her husband after getting discharged, the hospital authorities said that the man died on May 1 and was cremated the following day by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) authorities after duly informing his family members.
This heartbreaking news could not keep her calm, she took to social median and tagged Telangana Information Technology minister KT Rama Rao in her tweet saying, her husband A Madhusudhan (42), a rice mill worker, had not come home along with them when they were discharged on May 16.
She complained to the minister that her husband was admitted to King Kothi Hospital on April 27 and later taken to Gandhi Hospital on April 30. Within minutes, Dr M Rajarao, the superintendent of Gandhi Hospital, said that her husband was cremated after he succumbed to the COVID-19 infection.
The doctor explained that “his condition was serious and suffering from bipolar pneumonia with ARDS. The doctors' attempts to save him were unsuccessful. He died at 6.03 pm on May 1. Family members did not come forward to take the dead body to perform final rites,” the superintendent said.
As per a Hindustan Times report, Madhusudan, his father, brother and several other family members, were all inflicted with coronavirus. Meanwhile, a local newspapers reported that as Madhusudhan passed away on May 1, his 76-year-old father died on April 29 and other members of the same family were down with COVID-19, so the funeral was made by GHMC staff.
