Woman Activist Attacked With Pepper Spray On Way To Sabarimala: Caught On Camera! 

In a shocking case, a woman activist who came to Kerala's Kochi city to enter Sabarimala temple was attacked by a man with a pepper spray right outside the office of the Police Commissioner. 

The activist identified as Bindu Ammini, was one of the two women who had managed to enter the Sabarimala temple on January 2. She was recently attacked with chilli powder while she was on her way to the temple along with Pune-based activist Trupti Desai. 

In the video which is currently going viral, the activist Bindu Ammini can be seen hiding her face and running away from a man who attacked her with the pepper spray. Soon after the attack, the man is seen running away from the compound.

According to NDTV report, activist Trupti Desai has also come to visit the Sabarimala temple for making another try to enter Lord Ayyappa temple. Along with Desai, five more women, plan to enter the shrine today.

"We'll visit Sabarimala temple today on Constitution Day. Neither state government nor police can stop us from visiting the temple. Whether we get security or not we will visit the temple today," Desai told media today. 

Currently, the six women including Desai are inside the police Commissioner's officer in Kochi. 

The Supreme Court’s judgment in September 2018 allowed the entry of all women to the shrine, following which it totally triggered widespread protests in Kerala.  Earlier this month, the top court referred the long pending matter to a larger seven-judge bench.
