Grooms usually arrive in horses or cars but for the first time ever a man arrived on a road roller for his own wedding. In a bizarre incident in Nadia district of West Bengal, a groom arrived for his wedding on Sunday on a road roller and became the talk of the town.

Arka Patra, 30, is the son of a goldsmith. He surprised the wedding guests and onlookers as he stepped out from a road roller. Reportedly, Patra wanted to make his wedding memorable and unique. Reportedly, even the bride, Arundhuti Tarafdar agreed with his plan when he discussed it a few days earlier.

Patra reportedly said, "I wanted to make my wedding ceremony memorable and unique. I could take a vintage car, but that would not be new. I have also heard someone went to marry in an earth mover. But, I did not know of anyone going to marry in a road roller, so I decided on it."
