Wedding Photo shoot of this Kerala Couple is going viral!

Wedding Photo shoot of a Kerala Couple held in Cherthala during May is going viral on social media. The BBC has made a short video titled ‘The rise of India’s viral wedding photo shoots’ with visuals from their photo shoot.

The couple, Abijith PK and Nayana, belong to Karunakkattu in Cherthala Municipality. Their wedding photo shoot was done by a private photographer named Shine Sidharth. In one of the widely applauded photos, the couple is seen sitting inside a Chembu -- A big copper vessel usually used for cooking  huge quantity of rice – as raindrops fall. The photography team used artificial methods to create the rainy atmosphere.

Sidharth and team posted the photo shoot on TikTok and other social media platforms. As the video went viral, the BBC contacted the couple for the making of their own video. The BBC video speaks about the new trend in Wedding Photography in India. It says, in average, a single Indian Wedding Photo shoot costs around 1lakh and the total expenditure of a wedding is estimated to be 10lakhs.
