As the day got bigger and better, US President Donald Trump along with First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner visited the 'monument of love' Taj Mahal in Arga. They spent nearly an hour at the Taj Mahal.

The Trump family enjoyed the visit at the magnificent marble monument. Both Trump and Melania walked hand-in-hand and looked happy by the end of the visit. Soon after stepping into the complex President Trump wrote in the visitors' book, "The Taj Mahal inspires awe. A timeless testament to the rich and diverse beauty of Indian culture. Thank you India."

According to NDTV reports, many guides were screened for the job where three were short-listed and only one made it to meet and guide the family. As the family walked towards the monument, President Trump and Melania Trump stopped at the love seat and smiled for the cameras. They also held hands for pictures.

Earlier than this, the only "Taj Mahal" that President Trump had seen was a casino that he once owned in Atlantic City, NDTV further reported.

Just for this official visit, hundreds of workers had scrubbed and polished the stones. They also applied fresh paint on walls and mud-pack on the marble. Not just that, water was released into the river Yamuna, to reduce the strong smell of garbage and pollutants.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day the US President and his family arrived in India first at Ahmedabad, where he addressed a massive gathering at the newly-built Motera cricket stadium. Watch the video below:
