Tirupati Changes Laddu Price - Only One Free Laddu Per Person!

Also, the subsidised price offered by the Devasthanam for laddus until will be stopped. So, going forward, one laddu will be priced Rs.50 per piece. However, there won't be a limit of how many one person can get.
Already, in places outside Tirupati, laddus have been sold at Rs.50 per piece for the past one year.
Usually, tokens are distributed to each devotee at the entrance of Vaikuntam using which they can get 4 laddus for Rs.70.
“Every month, TTD gives each employee coupons that can be used to buy 10 laddus for Rs 5 each. Retired TTD employees get coupons to buy 10 laddus for Rs 10 each. These subsidised laddus are going into black market and are being sold at a higher price and TTD is suffering a huge loss,” the official said reports Indian Express.
As the Devasthanam authorities claim that up to Rs.200 crores loss is faced by the Devasthanam per year due to the tokens and it costs Rs.40 to make one laddu. Soon, this process will be implemented.
