Trump in India: From Food To Per Night Stay At ITC Maurya's Chanakya Suite; Details Listed With Photos!
Home > News Shots > India newsThe much awaited day has arrived as US President Donald Trump has embarked on his two-day visit to India. He was received with a grand and warm welcome by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After being received, they both did a 22-km long roadshow on the way to the world's largest cricket ground- Motera Stadium. Soon after landing, Trump was first taken to Sabarmati Ashram.
Amid Trump's visit, the much talked about topic was his stay in India; the US President will be staying at the luxurious Chanakya Suite of ITC Maurya Hotel on Sardar Patel Marg in Delhi.
According to India Today reports, Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump will be hosted by the Grand Presidential Suite in the national capital. Meanwhile, Trump's daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kusher will also be staying at the same hotel.
Coming to the details about the suite; Trump will be welcomed in a traditional Indian way with rangoli made from flowers. The special guests will not just have a lavish menu but will also experience a food testing laboratory, spa with butlers and private air purification system.
The Grand Presidential Suite is located on the 14th floor of the hotel. It features silk walls, dark wood flooring and unique artwork. In this suite, there is a reception, living room, a study, and a 12-seater dining room.
Talking about the cost of the Chanakya Suite is around Rs 8,00,000 per night with a 4,600 square feet. Other US presidents who were hosted in the same place were Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and Barack Obama.
Sharing about the special menu; apart from Dal Bukhara of ITC Maurya, chefs will prepare a Trump Platter which is going to be extra special. The suite has already stocked up on Trump's favorite-Diet Coke and Cherry Vanilla ice-cream. Not just that, Trump and his family will also be provided with their own private chef so that they can prepare any kind of food whenever or whatever they want, India Today further reported.
