Teenage girl Axes Father to Death! - Report

In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old teenager has been booked for allegedly axing her 45-year-old father to death. The teenager killed her father after he tried to sexually abuse her on Sunday. The incident took place in Baratpada, Talasari, Mumbai. 

Police told the media that the father sexually abused his daughter when she was 11 years old but the incident went unreported. Reportedly, the girl’s parents were separated and the she lived with her mother in Dahanu.

On Sunday, she went to her father’s place upon her stepbrother’s insistence.At around 2:00 am when the father tried to sexually assault her, she axed him to death. The incident was witnessed by the man’s 22-year-old son, her stepbrother who then informed the Talasari Police. 

A senior inspector of Talasari Police station told the media that as per the accused’ statement, “Whenever the woman came to visit, her father would try to rape her. On May 31, around 2 am, he came to her room and tried to sexually assault her. The accused then picked up an axe from the kitchen and attacked the victim on his head, neck, hands and other body parts, killing him on the spot.

A case of rape and molestation under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, 2012 have been charged against the victim based on the daughter’s testimony. She has been charged with murder.
