Kailash, a distraught 19-year-old teen hailing from Karanthur in Kozhikode district, who along with his parents, was lodged in a relief camp in Kerala, committed suicide on Sunday, heartbroken over the fact that his Plus two certificates were washed away.

When Kailash returned home from the relief camp after the waters had receded, he found to his dismay that all his certificates had been washed away.

His parents found him hanging according to police sources as per a report in The Indian Express. Kailash's father was a labourer and had high hopes for his son, who was set to join an industrial training centre before the monsoons wreaked havoc taking with it many dreams and aspirations.
