After the ban of 328 combination drugs by the government last week, the Supreme Court allowed for a temporary sale of Saridon and two other drugs on Monday.

The SC's order comes following a petition filed by drug makers. SC also asked for the Centre's reply on the petition by the pharmaceuticals against the ban of fixed-dose combination or FDCs manufactured before 1988.

The pharmaceuticals challenged the Centre's order based on the only reason that the drugs have no therapeutic value.
