Helpline Numbers Announced for Women Returning home Late Night

While there are a lot of precautions and safety measures campaigned for women safety, Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh has announced special numbers for the safety of women in his state.
Women who could not return home in the late night can make use of the numbers 100, 112 and 181 to make a call. The call would be answered immediately and the necessary transport assistance will be sent to the concerned woman's location.
Further, the particular woman would be escorted by a police officer who would make sure that she had reached home safely. The initiative has been taken for women who are in need of emergency transport services between 9 pm to 6 am.
After the brutal rape and murder of Hyderabad Veterinary doctor, the discussions on women's safety have grabbed the attention of the masses.
