According to reports, the government of Gujarat on Tuesday issued an order to ban the online multiplayer game PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds.

The circular was issued after a recommendation from the Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The circular directed District Primary Education Officers to ensure a ban on the game in primary schools.

The ban was reportedly necessary as children were getting addicted to the game and that it was adversely affecting their studies.
