President's Rule in Maharashtra; Shiv Sena on talks with Congress!
Home > News Shots > India newsMaharashra was put under President's Rule on tuesday after Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari sent a report to Centre that no party had enough numbers to stake claim, reports News18.
Since Saturday, he had invited all three parties - BJP, Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party. None had enough numbers to claim though it had been 20 days since election results.
The NCP spoke to governor at 11 am hours before the deadline at 8.30 pm, asking for more time. However, the governor sent the report.
Opposition parties criticized the move saying the governor is favouring BJP. Despite Presidential Rule, Congress and NCP are discussing on supporting Shiv Sena in forming a government.
