Narendra Modi Becomes Only Prime Minister To Be Followed By White House on Twitter
Home > News Shots > India newsAmid the deadly coronavirus outbreak and crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi becomes the only world leader to be followed by the official Twitter account of the White House.
As per a India Today report, the White House account follows only 19 handles and 16 of them are Americans while they also have more than 21 million followers. The remaining three handles are Indians; which include the President of India (@rashtrapatibhvn), the Prime Minister's Office (@PMO) and the Indian embassy in Washington D.C. (@IndianEmbassyUS).
Prime Minister Modi and US President Donald Trump share a cordial relation with each other.
Recently, PM Modi carried out the exports of hydroxychloroquine to US after which Trump took to social media and thanked the Indian PM for India's decision to partially lift a ban on the export of the anti-malarial drug, which is in demand for its potential use in helping treat patients with the novel coronavirus.
