"Remain prepared," PM Imran Khan to Pak after IAF airstrike
Home > News Shots > India newsIndia struck back at Pakistan in the early hours of Tuesday two weeks after 40 CRPF jawans' lives were lost in the deadly Pulwama Attack. India carried out a 'non-military, pre-emptive air strikes' and targeted the biggest camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed at Balkot.
Following the airstrike, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired an emergency meeting. "Forum concluded that India has committed uncalled for aggression to which Pakistan shall respond at the time and place of its choosing," said the statement issued by the Pakistan Prime Minister's office.
It added, "PM has directed that elements of national power including the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan to remain prepared for all eventualities."
The Indian Air Force struck the largest camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed at Balkot at around 3.30 am on Tuesday. Reportedly, 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets dropped 1,000 kg bombs on the camp. Over 300 terrorists were killed in the strike. Yousuf Azhar, the brother-in-law of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar was among those who were killed today.
