Petrol price hike in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi after two months
Home > India newsPetrol prices surged to a record high in October this year and following that fuel prices were declining. After two months of constant decline, petrol prices on Thursday marginally rose in three of India's metropolitan city.
Petrol price in Chennai increased by 13 paise to Rs 72.94 per litre on Thursday. In Delhi, petrol was priced at Rs 70.29 per litre, marking a 9 paise increase. Mumbai witnessed an 11 paise increase with petrol priced at Rs 75.91. Surprisingly, Kolkata saw a drop in petrol prices from Rs 73.28 on Wednesday to Rs 72.38 on Thursday.
Reportedly, diesel prices were unchanged for the third consecutive day in all the four metropolitan cities. Diesel is priced at Rs 68.26 per litre in Chennai.
