Drug for COVID-19? - Govt makes an Important decision on Patanjali's 'Coronil' Medicine! - Check for Details
Home > News Shots > India newsThe government on Wednesday, approved Patanjali’s Coronil to be in the market. Further, the government has added that it is only an immunity booster and not a Covid Cure.
Patanjali Trust and the Ministry of Ayush, examined the matter and confirmed with the Uttarakhand Licensing Authority that the product has been registered as an immunity booster. It said, “The proposed three drugs — Divya Coronil tablet, Divya Shwashari Vati 540mg and Divya Shwashari Vati 350 mg — should be marketed as per the scope of the licence issued by the Uttarakhand Licensing Authority, Ayurvedic and Unani Services. On the package and the label of these drugs, no claim about cure of Covid-19 should be mentioned.”
The ministry has however confirmed that Patanjali has initiated clinical trials for a potential coronavirus cure and that it will be continues as per the guidelines issued by the government.
