Muslim family puts Ram-Sita photo on wedding card
Home > News Shots > India newsTo spread communal harmony, a Muslim family in Uttar Pradesh's Chilauwa village has printed image of Lord Ram and Sita on wedding invitation cards of their daughter.
"In this village, both Hindus and Muslims live together. We want to promote communal harmony amongst people. We should not divide ourselves on the basis of our religion," said the mother.
DNA India reported that the bride's brother said that the villagers are happily accepting the invitation and that they are happy to see the reaction.
Gestures like these, amidst the tension caused by religion, warm the hearts and show that unity in diversity is really possible as long as people love and respect one another.
