Mesmerising: This Mumbai woman turns waste into beautiful furniture

A Mumbai-based sculptor is winning kudos for making an extraordinary line of furniture, engaging with local artists, from ordinary suburban waste such as old clothes, plastic items, rejected tyres, etc, thereby creating something extraordinary at the same time providing local artisans with livelihood.
In her own words,  Anu Tandon Vieira calls this the perfect “Retyrement plan”.
 

If you were to redo your home, the stuff that you could pick from her unique line of furniture includes the like of pouffes, ottomans, chairs, tables, sofas, swings, hammocks and pods. Indoors or outdoors, the furniture suits both, claims Anu.
