Men beaten up, stripped, forced to drink urine by mob on suspicion on killing cows

An angered mob allegedly beat up a group of four men in Haryana on suspicion that the group is involved in cow smuggling. The group was allegedly forced to drink urine by an angry mob. The incident took place at the Fatehabad's Dayor in Haryana, reports Mirror Now.

The incident took place on Sunday, June 10. The police reached the location and pacified the group. The police also seized the carcass of a cow and a calf from the group. The carcasses were sent for a post-mortem.

While talking to ANI, Additional SHO, Surajmal said, "We had received a phone call. When we reached there, we found the carcass of a cow and a calf and a cowhide, we also found four men along with these."

According to one of the men, they were attacked by around 30 people. The man said, "We have not killed any cow. Our work is to dump the dead cows." The four men claimed that they are involved in dumping dead and decayed animals.

One of the men alleged that the villagers beat them with sticks and stripped them. He further alleged that the villagers tried to force them to drink urine. Further investigation is underway.
