In a brutal and horrifying murder, a man allegedly killed his father over money. Not just that, he also chopped his father's body into pieces and stored the body parts in plastic buckets at his residence in the Malkajgiri area of Secunderabad.

The accused has been identified as, Kishan, 39, who is said to be absconding. He is unmarried and jobless and that could be the reason of his quarrel with his father over money. While the deceased has been identified as Maruti Kishan, 80, a retired Indian Railways employee.

According to NDTV reports, Sandeep Gone, Assistant Commissioner of Police, said that "during investigations they found out that the accused would mix small amounts of Datura (a poisonous plant) in the victim's drink, so he would fall asleep after drinking and not create a nuisance."

"But on Friday, a larger quantity was mixed and the man died, after which the son chopped up his body with a kitchen knife. The victim, who was reportedly an alcoholic would regularly harassed his family," NDTV further reported.

The murder came to light after neighbours complained of foul smell coming from the house. They tried many a times to enter the house but was stopped so they informed the police.

During further investigation, the accused's mother and sister claimed that they had also played a role in the murder. As they had been warned not to reveal details or speak to the neighbours.

When police started searching the house, they were shocked to find the head, hands, legs and other body parts stuffed inside eight plastic buckets.

Currently, samples of the body parts have been sent for forensic examination.
