In a sad and horrifying incident, a 51-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a hotel in Gujarat's Valsad district.

The deceased has been identified as Piyush Pacchigar, a resident of Surat. The tragic incident took place on September 25.

After investigation the Valsad district SP, Sunil Joshi, said that, "He (the man) had checked into the Maharaja Hotel last night, from where he took the jump."

People on the street recorded the act, when the man jumped to death and none tried to stop him.

"Pacchigar had come to Vapi from Surat...We have registered an accidental death report in this connection and called his relatives, who would throw some light on why he took the extreme step," police added.

Currently this video is going viral on social media. Also, the police are yet to know the exact reason of the man's extreme step as no suicide note was recovered.

Meanwhile, according to an employee of the hotel, Pacchigar first went on the terrace of the five-storey building and then stepped onto the signboard to take his jump. He was also in double mind before making his decision as videos show.
