Man Dangling From Overhead Wire On Tracks Gets Rescued, Trains Halts For An Hour!
Home > News Shots > India newsIn a shocking case, a man from Madhya Pradesh's Jhansi city climbed up a pole and was seen dangling from an overhead wire. Alert officials switch off power supply on the route and also had to make trains stalled for an hour.
This incident took place near Dabra station in Gwalior in the early part of the morning. According to NDTV reports, the man, was mentally unstable. He was brought down to safety by railway staff after a guard informed station authorities.
"At around 6:00 am, he was doing acrobatics on a dead overhead wire. We had to switch off power supply to other live overhead wires for an hour to ensure the man was not electrocuted. This, however, hit rail traffic and four trains got stalled," North Central Railway's Jhansi division's commercial manager Akhil Shukla said.
After bringing the man to safety, he was handed over to the Railway Protection Force for further enquiry and action.
