Love Triangle: 21-year-old Engineering Student Brutally beaten by Ex-lover and Boyfriend, Succumbs to Head Injury!

A 22 year old Engineering student succumbed to a head injury on Friday, after one of her male friends attacked her in a suspected case of love triangle. This shocking incident took place in Bengaluru.

Monica (22) had been in a relationship with Babith (21), for four years. However, they had recently broken up and she had befriended Rahul. Four months into her relationship with Rahul, she visited his house on June 8, as it happened to be his birthday. There was first attacked by her current boyfriend, Rahul (22) as he had learnt that Monica had visited her ex-lover Babith the previous day.

After the incident, Babith took her to his house where the two had gotten into an argument. Babith attacked her with a helmet and she passed out immediately. Monica was rushed to a hospital but the injury was fatal and she passed away on Friday.

The police had arrested both Babith and Rahul under attempt to murder, sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. After her death on Friday, both of them have been booked for murder, said the Deputy Commissioner of Police, N. Sashikumar.
