Locals Shave Couple's Head Over Inter Caste Relationship, Makes Video

In a shocking case, locals from Odisha tonsured a couple after the man had gone to visit the woman at her home in Mandua village of Karanjia block in Mayurbhanj.

According to Times Now report, the man was allegedly her lover and had visited her home on June 22. The villagers also made a video of the incident which went viral on social media.

Media reports say that, the woman’s boyfriend had come to the village to meet her. When villagers came to know that the man belonged to other community they started thrashing him. In the video, it could be seen that women of the village also beat up the woman. Later, the villagers shaved their heads.  

Reportedly, sub-divisional police officer Narayan Nayak told news agency ANI that they are trying to identify all the accused in the case. Further investigation is underway.

Later, the victims lodged a complaint against the culprits. A case has been registered against 22 people and police have launched a manhunt operation to nab the accused.
