This month has been the best for parents of 10th and 12th class students, as children around the country secured an amazing position in their results. So was it with a 17-year-old girl who topped everyone and secured 99.25% in ISC exam. She also rightly secured the fourth position, nationally.

There was no better reason for Richa to be made a "deputy commissioner" of Kolkata police for a day in appreciation of her achievement.

According to NDTV reports, Richa Sharma, a student of G.D. Birla Centre for Education who secured 99.25% marks in the plus two exam results "occupied" the chair of the Deputy Commissioner (South Eastern Division) of city police from 6 am to 12 noon during the day. The daughter of Rajesh Singh - additional officer-in-charge of Gariahat police station - was feted by DC (ESD) Kalyan Mukherjee, as also the OCs of various police stations.

Richa made her father proud by being appointed as Honorary Deputy Commissioner of Police and bossed him for a day. Media reports further state that, Richa gave orders and also took reports from all officers those who were in charge of police stations in the division. When asked if she had any orders for her father as she was his "boss" for the day, Richa said, "I will order him to return home early."

Kolkata Police took to their Twitter handle and said that, “Richa Singh, daughter of Inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh, Additional Officer in Charge of Gariahat police station … She was felicitated this afternoon by Commissioner of Police Dr Rajesh Kumar.” Till noon she was in the office; her father, Inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh, escorted her to two police stations for inspection. During her 6 hours on the chair, she bossed legendary and checked the functioning of the CCTV cameras.
