Kerala girl's different but bold approach in matrimonial advertisement
Home > News Shots > India newsActor Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide has triggered a much-needed discussion about mental health on social media. In Kerala, a woman who is under depression has taken a different but bold approach. Through a matrimonial adverstisement, the woman has declared that she is taking medicine for depression and discontinued her education while pursuing MCom.
The advertisement says that the woman is seeking proposals from men between 37 and 46 years of age from Kozhikode district. Remarriage cases without liabilities will also be considered.
“I’m looking for a partner who can share my joy and sorrow for the rest of my life, hence, the question of cover-up doesn’t arise. I’ve been suffering from depression for the past 10 years. It started soon after the death of my father whom I was closely attached to,” the 36-year-old woman told TNIE. “I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Optimism and positiveness will surely keep one afloat,” she added.
Note: If you know someone who is under depression, help them. Listen to what they have to say. Be an emotional support.
