Veena, is a software engineer, while Riyas is president of the CPI-M youth wing, Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI). The marriage was a low key affair where at least 25 people participated in the chief minister’s official residence.
As per a Hindustan Times report, the marriage has been registered under the Special Marriage Act.
Highlighting about Veena's career, she is the director of a small IT firm, which has its headquarters in Bengaluru. Currently, she heads Exalogic Solutions Private Limited, a venture she started in 2015, which is located in Bengaluru.
Talking about Riyas, he is the son of PM Abdulkhader, a retired IPS officer. He entered politics during his school days. He was appointed as the President in February 2017.
This is the second marriage of both Riyas and Veena, Hindustan Times further reported.
