After Amit Shah, Karnataka’s CM Tests Positive for COVID-19; Hospitalised - Health Status

Karnataka’s Chief Minister tweeted late Sunday night that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection. BS Yediyurappa, in his tweet revealed that his health is fine but has been admitted to a hospital facility as per the advice of doctors.

Further, Yediyurappa (77) also requested those who came in contact with him within the past few weeks to get tested if they have symptoms or self-isolate immediately.

"I have tested positive for coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine," the tweet read.

Earlier the CM had been working from his home office after his staff members tested positive for the infection. Then, he tweeted, “I am going to discharge my duties from home today for the next few days in view of some of the staff in the office-cum-residence Krishna testing positive.”

Hours after the Union Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for the infection, CM Yediyurappa also announced his positive results.
