Infosys Employee Post Message on Facebook About Coronavirus, Get Fired By Company!
Home > News Shots > India newsRenowned IT company- Infosys, sacked an employee in Bengaluru, for posting an objectionable content on social media on spreading the deadly coronavirus. The man's post triggered an outrage on social media where he said, “Let’s join hands, go out and sneeze with open in public. Spread the virus” in his post.
Within minutes his post went viral and created an outrage among people. Hours later, the IT services company took to Twitter informing that they have terminated the services of the employee who made an “inappropriate post” related to the coronovirus outbreak.
Taking to social media, they said, "Infosys has completed its investigation on the social media post by one of its employees and we believe that this is not a case of mistaken identity."
"The social media post by the employee is against Infosys' code of conduct and its commitment to responsible social sharing. Infosys has a zero tolerance policy towards such acts and has accordingly, terminated the services of the employee," the statement added.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the employee has been identified as Mujeeb Mohammad, who had posted the outrageous content on Facebook. He was arrested on Friday night and investigation are on.
