20 Years of Kargil Vijay Diwas: India Celebrates, Army Chief issues a Warning!

On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army made history by defeating the insurgent Pakistan armed forces by sacrificing the lives of many soldiers. Since then the day has been celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas.

While India celebrates the historic day, Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat has reportedly issued a warning against Pakistan forces to not carry out such “misadventures” act as they did in 1999. On the 20th anniversary of Kargil Triumph, people around the nation including noted sportspersons hail the attempt of brave soldiers.

“We will never forget all the sacrifices you made for us. Respect, Love, Salute. #JaiHind #KargilVijayDiwa,” (sic) tweeted Virat Kohli, the captain of Indian Cricket team. Shikar Dhawan expressed his heartfelt observance saying, "I will never forget the sacrifices made by the martyrs of our Indian Army, the courage they showed in the Kargil war. Jai Hind! #KargilVijayDiwas," (sic).

As per TimesNow, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat was quoted as saying “Don’t do it. Misadventures are normally not repeated. You will get a bloodier nose next time,” When asked about Kargil Vijay Diwas and the message that he would like to pass on if there is any. Bipin Rawat also quoted the limping economic scenario of Pakistan which would trigger the insurgents to breach the morality of the country.
