Worried Over Losing Job, Young Techie Commits Suicide!

With layoffs on the rise in most of the IT companies, a 24-year-old software employee from Mahabubnagar in Telangana committed suicide at a private hostel.

The woman has been identified as Pogaku Harini, who was working in Gachibowli. As per Raidugram police, the woman was working at Golden Hills Capital Private Ltd. company in Gachibowli as a junior software developer for the last two and a half years. 

Few days ago, about eight people in her company were given pink slips and Harini was one of them. Also, her employment with the company would end by December 1.

After getting to know this, she was shocked and depressed. Her parents gave her moral support but she was still upset. 

So, on November 18, Harini did not attend work and stayed back at the hostel in Cyber Hills in the Gachibowli area. When her roommate returned, she was shocked to see her friend hanging from the ceiling, the police further added.

On being depressed she took the extreme step. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
