Health Workers Perform Final Rites For Coronavirus Victim In Hyderabad
Home > News Shots > India newsIn a sad and shocking case, a 74-year-old man in Hyderabad became the first person in Telangana to die of coronavirus. Soon after his death, samples were taken and were tested positive for contagious virus that has infected over 1,000 people in the country and killed 29 so far.
According to a NDTV report, the man was buried on March 28 with no family members; only health workers were present. Currently, his family is under home quarantine.
Earlier in the month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that not more than 20 persons are allowed in funerals, as a guidelines for the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
Looking at the current stats of our country, India had reported more than 1, 000 cases so far with 29 deaths. While globally this virus has affected more than 7 lakh people while the death toll has crossed 34,000.
