HIV Positive Woman Molested in Train; Two Youths Arrested
Home > News Shots > India newsThe 22-year-old HIV positive woman was allegedly raped in a Bhabhua train coach in Kairmur district, Bihar on January 20 (Monday). The incident happened at 11.50 PM in the Patna-Bhabhua intercity express.
Reportedly Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) inspected the train and found that two youths were holding the woman as hostage. While one man was outraging her modesty the other was making a video of the heinous incident. Both of them were arrested by the officers.
The accused were identified as Birendra Prakash Singh (26) and Deepak Singh (28) by the police. One Station House Officer (SHO) said, "The accused were produced before a local court, which remanded them in judicial custody for 14 days" as per TOI.
"She was deserted by her husband who had AIDS and died later on. Doctor's diagnosed her HIV positive and she was under treatment of medical practitioner in Patna" an investigation officer was quoted as saying by TOI.
