Government's Announcement on 'College Final Year Exams'!
Home > News Shots > India newsHuman Resources and Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal interacted with 45,000 higher education institutions while going live on twitter and answered many questions raised by teachers and professors. The most important among the slew of announcements he made includes the announcement that college final exams would be held across the country for sure.
He mentioned that it is most likely to be held in July and all safety precautions will be taken care of. he also added that if the COVID19 situation persists till July and if that stops colleges from conducting final year exams, fresh college exam dates would be announced.
He clarified that the exams will mostly take place only for the final year students and not for the first- and second-year students.
According to India Today’s report, students in the first semester would be promoted on the basis of their previous academic records while second-year students will be promoted based on 50% internal marks and 50% on the previous year or semester’s records.
He added that students could reach out to the UGC taskforce if they wanted more information or if they had queries.
